# AlgoGP trading API guides

> Developer reference for 48 broker, exchange, market-data and prediction-market APIs: how each API works, authentication, limits, paper trading and step-by-step API key setup. AlgoGP is an AI research workspace that turns a trading idea into Python, backtests it, and exports code wired to the user’s broker.

## Stock & options brokers

- [Alpaca API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/alpaca): Alpaca is an API-first US broker for stocks, ETFs, options and crypto. You authenticate with two headers (APCA-API-KEY-ID and APCA-API-SECRET-KEY), every account has a free paper-trading twin at paper-api.alpaca.markets, and the free Basic data plan includes real-time IEX quotes and history back to 2016. Paper and live accounts use separate keys. (auth: REST + API key; built into AlgoGP (broker, data); [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/alpaca/api-key))
- [Tradier API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/tradier): Tradier is a developer-focused US broker for stocks, ETFs and options with a REST API authenticated by a bearer access token. The sandbox (sandbox.tradier.com) has its own token and account number and 15-minute delayed data; production is api.tradier.com. JSON is converted from XML, so single-item lists arrive as objects. (auth: REST + API key; built into AlgoGP (broker, data); [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/tradier/api-key))
- [Interactive Brokers API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/interactive-brokers): The Interactive Brokers API (TWS API) lets a program trade stocks, options, futures, FX and bonds on 150+ markets, but it talks to a running copy of Trader Workstation or IB Gateway over a local socket, not to a cloud REST endpoint. Paper trading uses port 7497 (TWS) or 4002 (Gateway). Historical data is paced: at most 50 simultaneous requests, with extra limits on small bars. (auth: Local gateway; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/interactive-brokers/api-key))
- [Charles Schwab Trader API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/charles-schwab): The Schwab Trader API replaced the TD Ameritrade API after the merger. It covers stock, ETF and options trading, account data, quotes, price history and streaming, and it uses OAuth 2.0: you register an app on developer.schwab.com, log in through a browser once, then keep the session alive with refresh tokens. (auth: OAuth login; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/charles-schwab/api-key))
- [TradeStation API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/tradestation): The TradeStation v3 API is a REST and streaming API for US stocks, options and futures, with OAuth 2.0 authentication (20-minute access tokens, refresh tokens via offline_access) and a simulated account. Documented limits include 500 bar/quote requests per 5 minutes and up to 57,600 intraday bars per request. (auth: OAuth login; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/tradestation/api-key))

## Crypto exchanges

- [Binance API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/binance): Binance’s spot API serves public klines, order books and trades without a key, and signed account and order endpoints with an X-MBX-APIKEY header plus an HMAC-SHA256 signature of the query string. Limits are per-IP request weight reported in response headers (429, then 418 bans); the spot testnet at testnet.binance.vision has separate keys. US residents use Binance.US at api.binance.us. (auth: REST + API key; built into AlgoGP (broker, data); [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/binance/api-key))
- [Coinbase Exchange API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/coinbase): Coinbase Exchange publishes free, keyless candles at api.exchange.coinbase.com (/products/BTC-USD/candles, up to 300 per request, granularities 1m to 1d) in real US dollars. Trading is a different API: Coinbase Advanced Trade, which authenticates with CDP keys that sign a JWT per request. (auth: Public, no key; built into AlgoGP (data))
- [Kraken API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/kraken): Kraken’s spot REST API has public endpoints (OHLC, order book, trades) and private ones signed with HMAC-SHA512 over the URI path and SHA-256 of nonce + body, sent as API-Key and API-Sign headers with an always-increasing nonce. Rate limits differ by API family, endpoint and account tier; there is no spot testnet, but validate=true checks an order without placing it. (auth: REST + API key; built into AlgoGP (broker, data); [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/kraken/api-key))
- [Bybit API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/bybit): Bybit’s V5 API covers spot, linear and inverse derivatives and options through one set of REST and WebSocket endpoints selected by a category parameter. Requests are signed with HMAC-SHA256 over timestamp + key + recv_window + payload. Demo Trading uses api-demo.bybit.com with a key created in demo mode; the broad IP limit is 600 HTTP requests per 5 seconds. Bybit does not serve US residents. (auth: REST + API key; built into AlgoGP (broker, data); [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/bybit/api-key))
- [OKX API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/okx): The OKX V5 API covers spot, perpetual swaps, futures and options through REST and WebSocket. Private calls are signed with HMAC-SHA256 over timestamp + method + path + body and sent with OK-ACCESS-KEY, OK-ACCESS-SIGN, OK-ACCESS-TIMESTAMP and OK-ACCESS-PASSPHRASE headers. Demo Trading uses the same host with an x-simulated-trading: 1 header and keys created in demo mode. (auth: REST + API key; built into AlgoGP (broker, data); [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/okx/api-key))
- [Coinbase Advanced Trade API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/coinbase-advanced): Coinbase Advanced Trade API is Coinbase’s current trading API (the Coinbase Pro API is retired). Protected REST calls carry a short-lived JWT bearer token that you sign per request with a Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP) API key using ES256 or Ed25519, so plain HMAC code from the old Pro API no longer works. An official Python SDK (coinbase-advanced-py) handles the signing. (auth: Asymmetric / wallet signing; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/coinbase-advanced/api-key))
- [Deribit API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/deribit): Deribit is the main venue for crypto options, with BTC and ETH options, futures and perpetuals. Its API is JSON-RPC 2.0 over HTTP and WebSocket (plus FIX); public methods such as public/get_tradingview_chart_data need no key, and private methods use client-credential tokens. A full test environment runs at test.deribit.com. (auth: REST + API key; built into AlgoGP (data))
- [Hyperliquid API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/hyperliquid): Hyperliquid is an on-chain order-book exchange for perpetuals and spot. Its /info endpoint serves market and account data with no key; trading goes to /exchange and every action must be signed by a wallet (ideally an approved API “agent” wallet). REST is limited to 1,200 weight per minute per IP, with up to 10 WebSocket connections and 1,000 subscriptions. (auth: Asymmetric / wallet signing; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/hyperliquid/api-key))

## Forex & CFD brokers

- [OANDA API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/oanda): OANDA’s v20 REST API trades forex (and CFDs outside the US) and serves candles with one bearer token. Practice accounts use api-fxpractice.oanda.com and live accounts api-fxtrade.oanda.com. Limits are 120 REST requests per second per IP, 20 active streams and 2 new connections per second; orders are sized in units, with the sign giving direction. (auth: REST + API key; built into AlgoGP (broker, data); [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/oanda/api-key))
- [Saxo OpenAPI](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/saxo): Saxo OpenAPI is the REST and streaming API behind SaxoTraderGO, covering stocks, ETFs, options, futures, FX, CFDs and bonds. It uses OAuth 2.0; for testing, the developer portal issues a 24-hour simulation token. Default limits are 120 requests per minute per session and service group and 1 order per second per session. (auth: OAuth login; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/saxo/api-key))
- [IG API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/ig): IG’s REST trading API (labs.ig.com) trades FX, indices, commodities, shares and options as CFDs or spread bets, with Lightstreamer for streaming and a demo environment. You authenticate with an API key plus your IG username and password to open a session. Default quotas include 60 non-trading requests per minute per app and 10,000 historical price points per week. (auth: REST + API key; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/ig/api-key))
- [cTrader Open API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/ctrader): cTrader Open API lets programs trade and stream data on accounts at any broker that offers cTrader. It is a message protocol over TCP or WebSocket, in JSON or Protobuf, authenticated with OAuth 2.0 against your cTrader ID. Limits are 50 non-historical and 5 historical requests per second per connection. (auth: Local gateway; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/ctrader/api-key))

## Futures platforms

- [Tradovate API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/tradovate): Tradovate offers a REST and WebSocket API for futures trading, with a demo host and token-based authentication using your credentials plus an API key (cid and sec). Live API access currently requires a live account with more than $1,000 equity and the API Access add-on. (auth: REST + API key; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/tradovate/api-key))
- [Rithmic API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/rithmic): Rithmic is futures market-data and order-routing infrastructure, accessed through R|API+ (C++/.NET), R|Protocol (Protobuf over WebSocket) or the low-latency R|Diamond. There is no simple REST API or self-serve key: access comes through an FCM or prop firm, and an exchange simulator is available on trial. (auth: Local gateway)
- [CQG API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/cqg): CQG offers institutional futures and options connectivity through the CQG WebAPI (secure WebSocket with Protocol Buffers), FIX and other APIs. It provides L1/L2 data, tick and bar history and order routing, but requires a CQG-enabled account, exchange entitlements and often conformance testing. (auth: Local gateway)

## Prediction markets

- [Polymarket API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/polymarket): Polymarket exposes several APIs: Gamma (market and event metadata), the CLOB (order books, prices, orders), a Data API (positions, activity) and WebSocket feeds. Market data needs no credentials. Trading first requires an EIP-712 wallet signature (L1) to derive API key, secret and passphrase, then HMAC-SHA256-signed L2 requests, and each order is also signed by the wallet. (auth: Asymmetric / wallet signing; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/polymarket/api-key))
- [Kalshi API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/kalshi): Kalshi is a CFTC-regulated US exchange for event contracts with REST, WebSocket and FIX APIs. Authenticated requests carry KALSHI-ACCESS-KEY, KALSHI-ACCESS-TIMESTAMP (ms) and KALSHI-ACCESS-SIGNATURE, an RSA-PSS (SHA-256) signature of timestamp + method + path made with the private key you download at key creation. Rate limits are token budgets (most endpoints cost 10 tokens). (auth: Asymmetric / wallet signing; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/kalshi/api-key))

## Market data APIs

- [Yahoo Finance API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/yahoo-finance): Yahoo Finance has no official API; the unofficial chart endpoint (query1.finance.yahoo.com/v8/finance/chart) returns free, keyless daily and intraday history for stocks, ETFs, indices, futures, forex and crypto. It can throttle or change without notice and restricts commercial use, so cache results and use a keyed vendor for production. (auth: Public, no key; built into AlgoGP (data))
- [Alpha Vantage API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/alpha-vantage): Alpha Vantage offers a free API key for stock, forex and crypto time series, technical indicators and fundamentals through one query?function=… endpoint. The free key allows 25 requests per day; exceeding it returns an Information message with HTTP 200, and several datasets are premium. (auth: REST + API key; built into AlgoGP (data); [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/alpha-vantage/api-key))
- [Massive (Polygon.io) API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/polygon): Massive, formerly Polygon.io (renamed October 30, 2025), serves US stocks, options, indices, forex, crypto and, since 2026, US futures through REST, WebSocket and flat files. One aggregates endpoint returns bars of any size; old Polygon keys and api.polygon.io still work alongside api.massive.com. The free plan allows 5 calls per minute with end-of-day data and two years of history. (auth: REST + API key; built into AlgoGP (data); [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/polygon/api-key))
- [Tiingo API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/tiingo): Tiingo serves curated end-of-day US stock and ETF prices back decades (raw and adjusted), IEX intraday bars, crypto and FX over REST and WebSocket, authenticated with a token. The free plan allows 50 requests per hour, 1,000 per day and 500 unique symbols per month; Power is about $30/month for personal use. (auth: REST + API key; built into AlgoGP (data); [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/tiingo/api-key))
- [Twelve Data API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/twelve-data): Twelve Data is one API for global stocks, ETFs, forex, crypto and indices, with bars from 1 minute to 1 month via /time_series. Authenticate with apikey= or an Authorization: apikey … header; the free Basic plan allows 800 requests a day and 8 per minute, and forex and crypto use BASE/QUOTE symbols such as EUR/USD. (auth: REST + API key; built into AlgoGP (data); [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/twelve-data/api-key))
- [Financial Modeling Prep API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/financial-modeling-prep): Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) serves fundamentals, earnings, transcripts and end-of-day prices through /stable/ REST endpoints with an apikey parameter. The free plan allows 250 requests per day; intraday data and transcripts are on paid plans. (auth: REST + API key; built into AlgoGP (data); [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/financial-modeling-prep/api-key))
- [Databento API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/databento): Databento sells normalized exchange data — OHLCV, trades, top of book, MBP-10 depth and full order-by-order (MBO) — for US equities, futures and options, historical and live. You authenticate with one API key (HTTP Basic, key as username); pricing is usage-based with a $199/month Standard plan and higher licensing tiers. (auth: REST + API key; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/databento/api-key))
- [EODHD API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/eodhd): EODHD (EOD Historical Data) serves end-of-day and intraday prices for 150,000+ tickers on dozens of global exchanges, plus fundamentals, FX and crypto, through a simple REST API authenticated by an api_token parameter. The free tier allows 20 calls a day with one year of history; paid plans start around $19.99/month. (auth: REST + API key; built into AlgoGP (data); [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/eodhd/api-key))
- [Finnhub API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/finnhub): Finnhub combines stock, FX and crypto prices with fundamentals, estimates, earnings, news, transcripts and alternative data behind one API key, sent as token= or the X-Finnhub-Token header. All plans share a hard ceiling of 30 calls per second; historical candles and several datasets require a paid plan, so check your plan’s access before relying on them. (auth: REST + API key; built into AlgoGP (data); [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/finnhub/api-key))
- [Intrinio API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/intrinio): Intrinio sells licensed US equities, options and fundamentals data through REST v2 and WebSocket APIs with official SDKs in Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, Ruby and R. Pricing starts around $150/month for individuals and $1,250/month+ for enterprise, with exchange fees separate; it suits products that need clear commercial licensing. (auth: REST + API key; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/intrinio/api-key))
- [Barchart OnDemand API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/barchart): Barchart OnDemand is a cross-asset market data API covering stocks, indices, ETFs, mutual funds, futures, FX and crypto, with tick, minute and daily history in JSON, XML or CSV over REST, SOAP or WebSocket. Pricing is custom, and real-time exchange fees can exceed the API platform fee. (auth: REST + API key; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/barchart/api-key))
- [Nasdaq Data Link API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/nasdaq-data-link): Nasdaq Data Link (formerly Quandl) is a marketplace of financial, economic and alternative datasets, each from a publisher with its own terms, served through one REST API (time-series and tables) with an API key. Some datasets are free; most premium ones are paid subscriptions. (auth: REST + API key; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/nasdaq-data-link/api-key))

## Crypto data APIs

- [Kaiko API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/kaiko): Kaiko is an institutional crypto data provider that normalizes trades, order books, OHLCV, reference data and derived prices across centralized and decentralized exchanges, via REST, streaming and file delivery. Access is by subscription with an API key; published product prices range from about $750/month into the thousands. (auth: REST + API key; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/kaiko/api-key))
- [Coin Metrics API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/coin-metrics): Coin Metrics API v4 serves crypto market data (candles, trades, order books, funding, open interest, liquidations, options Greeks) and on-chain network metrics. A free Community API needs no key for many network metrics; Pro data needs an API key and a commercial subscription. (auth: REST + API key)
- [CoinDesk Data API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/coindesk-data): CoinDesk Data is the current name of the provider formerly known as CryptoCompare and then CCData; it was renamed in February 2025 after CoinDesk’s acquisition. It offers aggregated crypto prices, exchange OHLCV, order books, on-chain and news data through REST and WebSocket APIs with an API key. (auth: REST + API key; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/coindesk-data/api-key))

## News, social & sentiment

- [NewsAPI API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/newsapi): NewsAPI.org searches headlines from many publishers via /v2/everything with an X-Api-Key header. The free Developer plan allows 100 requests a day, delays articles 24 hours, reaches back about a month and is for development only. (auth: REST + API key; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/newsapi/api-key))
- [X (Twitter) API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/x-api): The X (Twitter) API v2 recent search endpoint returns posts from the last seven days with an app-only bearer token created in the developer console (console.x.com). Since February 2026, new developers pay per use with prepaid credits. (auth: REST + API key; [API key guide](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/x-api/api-key))
- [Crypto Fear & Greed Index API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/fear-and-greed-index): The alternative.me Crypto Fear & Greed Index API (api.alternative.me/fng/) returns a free, keyless daily 0–100 crypto sentiment score with history from February 2018; limit=0 returns everything. (auth: Public, no key)

## Enterprise data terminals

- [Bloomberg API (BLPAPI)](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/bloomberg): Bloomberg’s programmatic access is BLPAPI, an SDK (C++, C#, Java, Python blpapi) that connects to a running Bloomberg Terminal (Desktop API), a Server API or the B-PIPE enterprise feed; reference and history can also come from Bloomberg Data License via REST, SFTP or cloud delivery. It is contract-priced and entitlement-controlled, not a self-serve API key. (auth: Local gateway)
- [LSEG Data (Refinitiv) API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/lseg): LSEG (formerly Refinitiv, including Eikon) provides global real-time and historical data through LSEG Workspace/Data Library for Python, the Real-Time platform (WebSocket API and RTSDK for C++, C#, Java) and Tick History. Coverage spans 100M+ instruments and 500+ venues; access is by enterprise subscription. (auth: Local gateway)
- [FactSet APIs API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/factset): FactSet exposes prices, fundamentals, estimates, ownership, tick history and news through REST APIs on developer.factset.com, with SDKs and cloud/Jupyter integrations. Limits are set per API (one published example is 20 requests per second per user) and access requires a FactSet licence. (auth: REST + API key)

## Platforms & "does it have an API?"

- [NinjaTrader API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/ninjatrader): NinjaTrader does not offer a cloud REST trading API for its desktop platform. Automation runs as NinjaScript (C#) strategies inside NinjaTrader 8, or through the Automated Trading Interface (ATI), which lets external programs send orders to the installed platform via a DLL or OIF text files. For a web API on NinjaTrader-group futures accounts, look at Tradovate. (auth: Local gateway)
- [TradingView API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/tradingview): TradingView has no public API for placing trades or downloading its chart data. The supported automation path is a Pine Script alert that sends a webhook (HTTP POST to your URL) when it fires; your own server then calls a broker API such as Alpaca, OANDA or Binance. Webhooks require a paid TradingView plan. Separate Charting Library and broker-integration programs exist for companies. (auth: No public API)
- [Robinhood API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/robinhood): Robinhood has an official API only for crypto trading (the Robinhood Crypto API), authenticated with an API key and an Ed25519 signature per request. There is no official API for Robinhood stocks or options; community libraries such as robin_stocks use private endpoints, which can break and may breach the terms. For automated stock trading use a broker with a public API such as Alpaca, Schwab, Tradier or Interactive Brokers. (auth: Asymmetric / wallet signing)
- [Fidelity API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/fidelity): Fidelity does not offer a public API for retail customers to place trades or stream market data. Aggregators can read account data through Fidelity Access (for permissioned apps), and unofficial browser-automation scripts exist but are unsupported. For automated trading, open an account at a broker with a public API such as Schwab, Interactive Brokers, Alpaca or Tradier. (auth: No public API)
- [IEX Cloud API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/iex-cloud): IEX Cloud shut down on August 31, 2024; its API endpoints no longer serve data. Replacements depend on what you used: Massive (Polygon), Alpaca or Tiingo for US prices, Financial Modeling Prep, Finnhub or EODHD for fundamentals and global coverage, and Intrinio for licensed commercial data. IEX Exchange itself still operates and publishes its own exchange data. (auth: No public API)

## Comparisons

- [Best Broker APIs for Algorithmic Trading (2026)](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/compare/best-broker-api-for-algorithmic-trading): For US stocks with the least setup, Alpaca is the best broker API: plain API-key REST, free paper trading and free IEX data. Interactive Brokers has the widest market access but needs TWS or IB Gateway running. TradeStation and Schwab cover stocks and options (TradeStation adds futures) behind OAuth logins. Tradier is the developer pick for options; Saxo for multi-asset outside the US.
- [Best Free Stock Market Data APIs (2026)](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/compare/best-free-stock-market-data-api): The best free stock data API depends on your limit: Alpaca’s free plan gives real-time IEX quotes and history back to 2016 with a free, unfunded account; Twelve Data allows 800 requests a day; Tiingo 1,000 a day with clean adjusted EOD prices; Massive (Polygon) 5 calls a minute with two years of EOD data; Alpha Vantage only 25 a day. Yahoo Finance is free and keyless but unofficial.
- [Alpaca vs Interactive Brokers API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/compare/alpaca-vs-interactive-brokers-api): Choose Alpaca for US stocks, ETFs and crypto when you want plain REST with API keys and free paper trading. Choose Interactive Brokers when you need global stocks, futures, FX or bonds and can run TWS or IB Gateway with paced historical requests and paid data subscriptions.
- [Best Crypto Exchange APIs for Trading Bots (2026)](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/compare/best-crypto-exchange-api-for-trading-bots): For crypto bots, Binance, OKX and Bybit offer the broadest HMAC-signed REST APIs with test or demo environments; Kraken is the strongest option available to most US residents; Coinbase Advanced Trade is US-friendly but needs per-request JWT signing; Deribit leads for options and Hyperliquid for on-chain perpetuals with wallet-signed orders.
- [Binance vs Bybit vs OKX API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/compare/binance-vs-bybit-vs-okx-api): All three sign requests with HMAC-SHA256. Binance signs the query string and reports request weight in headers; Bybit signs timestamp + key + recv_window + payload and offers Demo Trading at api-demo.bybit.com; OKX signs timestamp + method + path + body with a passphrase header and runs demo trading on the same host via x-simulated-trading: 1. OKX and Bybit cover options; Binance spot has the deepest books.
- [Best Futures Trading APIs (2026)](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/compare/best-futures-trading-api): For retail futures automation, Tradovate is the most web-native API (REST + WebSocket, demo host); Interactive Brokers and TradeStation cover futures alongside stocks. Rithmic and CQG are professional routing stacks (Protobuf/C++/FIX) used by prop firms. For research data, Databento sells normalized CME tick and depth data.
- [Databento vs Massive (Polygon) vs Intrinio](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/compare/databento-vs-massive-vs-intrinio): Databento is best for tick, depth (MBP-10) and order-by-order (MBO) data, especially CME futures, with usage-based pricing. Massive (formerly Polygon.io) is the simplest self-serve source of US stock, options, FX and crypto bars, with a free tier and $29/month Starter. Intrinio focuses on licensed equities, options and fundamentals for commercial products, from about $150/month.
- [Best Forex Broker APIs (2026)](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/compare/best-forex-broker-api): OANDA’s v20 REST API is the simplest forex broker API: one bearer token, a free practice host and 120 requests per second. IG adds CFDs and spread betting with a REST API and demo account; Saxo covers FX plus equities and derivatives via OAuth; cTrader Open API works across many cTrader brokers; Interactive Brokers has the lowest spreads at scale but needs a gateway.
- [OANDA vs IG vs Saxo API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/compare/oanda-vs-ig-vs-saxo-api): OANDA is simplest (bearer token, practice host, 120 req/s, up to 5,000 candles per call). IG needs an API key plus a login session and limits history to 10,000 points a week, but adds CFDs and spread bets. Saxo uses OAuth and covers the most asset classes, with a 24-hour developer token for simulation.
- [Polymarket vs Kalshi API: Best Prediction Market API](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/compare/polymarket-vs-kalshi-api): Both offer free public market data. Polymarket is crypto-settled with Gamma and CLOB APIs; trading needs an EIP-712 wallet signature plus HMAC-signed L2 credentials. Kalshi is CFTC-regulated in the US with REST, WebSocket and FIX; trading requests are RSA-PSS signed with a downloaded private key. Neither signature fits plain HMAC code, so use their SDKs.
- [How to Connect TradingView Alerts to a Broker](https://www.algogp.com/platforms/compare/tradingview-webhook-to-broker): TradingView has no trading API, so connect it with webhooks: create an alert with a JSON message, point its webhook URL at an HTTPS server you control, verify a shared secret, and have that server call your broker’s API (for example Alpaca, OANDA or Binance). Webhooks need a paid TradingView plan and should be handled idempotently.
